Speaking as a Raider fan, I don't remember anyone ever blaming Randy Moss. We had garbage coaches and trash QBs while he was in Oakland. We felt bad for Randy.

Year 1 in Oakland was a solid season under the circumstances of the mess that was the Raiders. Randy went over 1000 yards and had 8 TDs in 2005. No other Raider WR would cross 1000 yards until Amari Cooper did it in 2015, and no Oakland WR would match or exceed Moss' 8 TDs until 2015, when Michael Crabtree caught 9 TD passes. A lot was pinned on Moss, but these numbers show that the Raiders were a franchise in shambles and, for a decade plus, were struggling to find an offensive identity and rhythm.

To summarize it, his experience in Oakland humbled him. Plain and simple.

Raiders fan here since 1977. It’s hard to look back on these old videos and come to terms on how much Al Davis had slipped in his decision-making near the end. Been decades of incompetence. So looking forward to turning the page with our new leadership. Our shitty team wasn’t ALL Moss’ fault, but his prima donna ass definitely added to the dysfunction.
