One of the best interviews I have seen recently. They way they communicate with each other is so real and special. As an aspiring cellist from Seville, I have to admit I'm a huge admirer of Anastasia. She's just unique.

Thank you for this gift

You do not need to break with tradition, make it greater.

The way she played hallelujah… I have never heard it performed that way.. it invoked so much emotion, absolutely incredible. I wish I had a recording of her playing the entirety of the song…. Inspiring, truly.

What an amazing artist. What an amazing interview. What a great interviewer. And I love her speaking voice as much as her cello playing ;)

Thank you both. What a treat.

This is why Simon is the great help that we all connect with, he hears our soul and unspoken inner thoughts and give voice to them so we know it's ok to be just us.

Saw Anastasia last night with the BBC Philharmonic, and it was totally and utterly incredible. Never heard her before and now will be checking out recordings etc.

I'm very inspired when you share about art and music. I have always appreciated, but haven't grown up exposed to or educated about the fine arts. Haven't come across a better source than this interview and the one with Jacob Collier that moves me.

Fabulous interview with a stellar young cellist. For those who love how she turns the cello into a percussion instrument, sings along and opens herself so vulnerably to her audience, don't miss South African Abel Selaocoe. The 9 year old whom I watch learning cello couldn't contain his excitement when he discovered Selacoe. Anastasia Kobekina's Vivaldi will be his next treat.
