  My 19 year old son said that once he has his own place, his first order of business is to adopt the oldest cat at the shelter. He loves senior cats.

  Veteran Master Groomer here: The oldest small animal I ever worked with was a cat I bathed semi regularly, early in my career. Tabs was a year older than me, making her &nbsp;<i><b>28</b></i><b></b> &nbsp; the last time I saw her. &nbsp;I was always gentle with her, I knew Tabs was a Grande Dame, but I didn&apos;t know she was that elder until I actually read her grooming card back to her first page, showing her birthdate. To put this in perspective, that was 2003; Tabs was born when &nbsp;<i>Richard Nixon</i> &nbsp;was president. She looked phenomenal for her age, I believed her to be in her mid teens, till I saw 1974 on the B-day line, I about fell off my chair.

  So I own a 15yo senior rescue cat I got 3 years ago and just wanted to say if you get a chance to give a older cat a home u should. There very loving and sweet and this old girl is the proof ❤❤

  First time I&apos;ve seen a cat that wanted to stay! I think Sammy really liked the hair fryer, and I laughed when she gave you a hug in the bathtub. What a sweet old kitty!
