  I hate it so much that toons don't express their personalities, The Smurfs express their personalities so much better and they're all the same character. I swear to God, half of all toons have that big-eyed smile and are showing their teeths, It feels like the Kalarts style meme 😭

  90s and 80s cartoons could absolutely animate more complex than THAT, unless dandys world is meant to be a niche cartoon with an uber low budget. <br><br>Not to mention cartoons get revived and redesigned ALL the time, sometimes between seasons/episodes. You could leave the posters n shit while redesigning the characters. <br><br>But at the end of the day it needs to prioritize being a game. Who cares what a cartoon would do

  I do kind of understand why Looey&apos;s base design is kind of lacking on the &quot;circus clown&quot; factor compared to his skins; he&apos;s said to be insecure about being the leader of the circus troupe and is hinted to be afraid of being laughed at. I do wish they would touch on his outfit at least a little bit though (like wth is that sleeveless top thing he always wears-)

  i HAVE an idea.. what if..? since gardenviews closure, the toons have redesigned their own looks to fit them much more, so, in that way, the redesigns could only apply on the toon&apos;s models, renders and probably card artworks too, so in that way, videos and artwork inside maps and poster wont have to change, and if they feel like it, even real merch!

  I feel like they chose the overly simple base designs because, lore wise, the show came before the toons. It’s my impression that this show was cell/frame by frame animated, and complex designs would make episodes come out slower. I still feel like small tweaks such as giving Looey a nose or Brightney glasses is plausible but overall that’s probably the main reason.

  Tbh, there IS a way to rededign toond without it affection too much<br><br>First: Facial Expressions. Those are the easiest to change.<br><br>Second: Small details. Nose for Looey, glasses for Brightney, bigger cap and blanket for Astro, apron from Sprout, etc. These will change very little the toon itself.<br><br>Third: Proportion and hue minor changes. Small updates with the model that change a little the character.

  At the end of the day, Shelly&apos;s design is the best overly simple design in the game, literally making Shelly NOTHING like what you should expect from her, and with that making Shelly forgettable. Literally, her old poster showed NOTHING of her personality, literally making kids think she was a cinnamon roll, but I really think that what simple designs show REALLY reflects what Arthur thinks about that show and Gardenview, just smiles and soulless drawings with characters that are truly just memorable. Most of the toons, for example Sprout, are easy to draw and sympathize with, hence how easily this game created a fandom, making the toons almost like a blank sheet with empty concepts makes me expect that what would save the designs would precisely be a huge lore (btw where is dandy lore 😭😭)
