I heard this song played back on a 250k system several years ago and still remember it as if it were yesterday. As the voices of the background singers swelled it felt as if they were walking towards me in the room. My hairs literally stood up on my arms. I've been chasing that feeling ever since... the most memorable audio experience I've ever had.

I'm going to go out on a limb for saying this, but this record, out of all the ones I heard on this turntable, this is the record that I hear the most of a change. The Steely Dan recordings pretty much sound good on everything, but this you can hear all of the subtle harmonics on everything in this recording. You can hear the plucking of the notes very clearly on the upright bass and the strings and background vocals just have such a rich presence to them. I love the brushes on the snare, kick drum, and occasional high hat. The inner groove sounds the best I've ever heard anything.

Top shelf audio equipment exposes the recording utterly for better or worse. Amazing!

It's amazing the sound quality that is possible from a diamond riding in the groove of a rotating piece of plastic!

Herbie Flowers (rip) played the bass on this track. Was hired as a studio musician.
Recorded in 20 minutes and that was about it.
In an interview Herbie stated he never met Lou Reed ever again. While recording one of the most memorabele bass loops in history. Can you imagine?

Mick Ronson from my home town of Hull uk ,we have a memorial statue to to celebrate his work and all round musical genius . I also have Transformer on the dynaflex pressing and playing Walk On The Wild Side has convinced two of my friends to buy a decent turntable based system .

The space between the instruments on this table is the best I've heard.

In 1974, I walked in on a demo of a Yamaha hi-fi where they played Walk On The Wild Side. The female vocals and sax blew me away and I can still clearly recall that moment 50 years later!

Wow, just amazing that the difference of this through the tube of You, is sounding more dynamic, more subtilely than other recordings on youtube, including vinyl. Up close in personal must be awe inspiring! Thank you for posting....

These have become my favorite video series on youtube. Background information is enjoyable. And the listen is astonishing. Thanks Michael.
