When it comes to Muay thai/kickboxing I am proud to be a Dutchman. For a small country we produced many, many champions!

There is one large caveat for both fights: They agreed on no low kicks, favoring Rufus' USA style. Kaman's low kicks were deadly and probably his best weapon.

R.I.P Rob Kaman, He won 97 of his 112 official fights, 77 of them by knockout.

American Kickboxing rules. No low kicks, No knees, No elbows.

Kaman wasn't allowed to use his greatest weapon, the low kick. Otherwise these matches would've gone very differently. Just look at what Kiatsongrit did to Roufus. He demolished him with low kicks. He was helpless against him.

The punishment these guys absorb is wild.

I was a fan of both. However, this match was under PKA rules, i.e., no low kicks. Thus, it is not a fair assessment of who was the better fighter.

They left 1 very important detail out in this video. Mr lowkick (Rob Kaman) wasn't allowed to fight with his trademark weapon --- LOWKICKS. Favouring Roufus big time. Roufus accepted the third time to fight against Kaman on his terms, with lowkicks. But never fought Kaman anymore.

It's a shame people mostly know Roufus from the infamous low kick bout, he had some great dexterity with his kicks and was very fast and agile for a big man
