  He benefited from his experience by overcoming addiction, getting honest, and learning from it. He responded to the assault wisely, avoiding emotional outbursts or violence that could have undone his progress and tainted his Hollywood career.

  Terry being so publicly open about his porn addiction has truly provided me with hope of overcoming mine over the years. I will always have the utmost respect for this man for proving progress is possible and that I'm not alone in my struggles.

  I noticed that literally all of the figures who were mocking him for standing up to sexual assault are other black men. This is honestly pathetic. It shows a level of insecurity I didn't even know existed

It’s as if they have no understanding of how he would be treated if he had responded with violence. Big Angry Black Man beats White gay male agent who was just being “friendly”. It would have been even worse for him if he had failed to manage his righteous anger. And rather than understanding how race, gender and power dynamics were at play, they blamed the victim, clowned him and called him gay. Worse yet, they told him to give the guy a pass. This is exactly why victims stay silent.

  Terry is the anti-Will Smith. He’s not trying to paint this perfect picture, or make himself seem like some saint. He knows he messed up, and he makes no attempt to hide it

  The assault thing is so sad like he got sexually assaulted and he got scapegoated for no reason he got ridiculed for no reason just makes my blood boil and all the other story man i respect terry a lot more now.

  Isn’t who we think he is? Nah, this proves he’s EXACTLY who I thought he is and more. Growing up like that leads so many people down destructive paths, but Terry Crews was able to pull through and actually improve and grow. He’s exactly the source of positivity I’ve seen him as for so long, and he acknowledges and admits to his faults which honestly is more empowering than someone who has simply done nothing wrong-
