  This was a good story, and actually the only logical and natural direction for the series moving forward. Instead of there being a new existential threat to humanity every 5 minutes, the post-war scenario really WOULD be a battle over forerunner scraps.

We were all military kids and every other kid thought it was some secret military thing but we were just huge nerds 😂😂

  all that story building just to end up throwing it away. fireteam mode was literally the best idea ever created for gamers and they threw it away. I never get to keep the good stuff.. Welp.. Thats life.. thats what the people say

  “If those freaks want to meet god… it’s our DUTY to help them along!” Palmer was unlikeable, but a good character from a narrative standpoint. An ODST who now is a little too cocky about being a Spartan, but still able to back it up

  Spartan Ops was hated cus it was treated like a second campaign when it was basically just firefight on multiplayer maps… but this exact formula would have been perfect for the defense of the Spartan academy in Halo Infinite. Firefight matches with campaign level cutscenes and cinematics that follow a linear storyline

  So halo 5&apos;s original story was supposed to continue from this. Halsey would still be with Jul, and Master chief, due to what happened with Cortana and going against the UNSC&apos;s orders, would go after her. ONI would paint him as a traitor to humanity, and deploy spartan locke (and his team?) to capture him. Locke, who would either have been with or met up with the Arbiter, would be told by him to look past ONI&apos;s propaganda and see the chief as a hero he truly is (this is shown in the halo 2 anniversary trailer, where locke is looking at chief&apos;s footage). Eventually, Halsey would use the key to find and awaken the Guardians, which would wreak havoc across the galaxy like at the end of H5. Then, in the ending cutscene, they would jump to an unidentified halo ring, where it would be revealed that the DIdact, who survived, had been pulling the strings behind everything all along.<br><br>Instead, we got some comics, halo 5&apos;s story...and halo infinite.

  Spartan Ops is amazing. One of 2 times in main series when you play as your own Spartan and actually have a greater effect. Hearing Commander Palmer mention “Crimson” for the first time in here… made me smile.

  Halo 4 was great with the loadout customization but still keeping the OP weapons like the grav hammer or rocket launcher drop only. <br><br>Last decent ok halo imo
