  bought 501's for years starting in the 70's. then gained some weight and wore 550's. when I saw Wranglers for $20 bucks at Walmart I started wearing them and never looked back

  For anyone actually interested. I’m in my mid 50s and have been a labourer since I was 16. The only good jeans are Wrangler for all reasons besides rapper fit. I wear things out not sit at the internet café reading about things that they have never ever worn out. Get the 14.75 oz wrangler, nothing but cotton, no stretch no fashion line

  I've worn all three brands, but now wear only Lee whenever jeans are called for.  Lees have the best cut, fit and look the best, and are very durable and long-lasting.

  Back in the '70's, I could buy Levis for $11-12.00 After the Gap started selling them, the prices went WAY UP!

  I started wearing Levis 501 when I was 10 years and now at 67 I still wear Levis 501’s , not the same pair i did buy new ones, LOL

  Black Wrangler from Walmart $12 to $14 .After a few years of good hard use I usually turn them into cutoffs, used to be simple scissors above the knees , now that I have a heavy duty hand crank sewing machine, I use the cut off legs to make multiple cargo pockets on the cut-off ones . I usually keep one brand new pair , set aside to wear for special occasions. But , Black Wranglers , are my “go-to” pants for just about anything . If they don’t change anything I will probably always buy them , they just work well !
