  Comment for all of the people curious, this is me. This episode is extremely old. Over 13 years ago. I am 30 years old with a wonderful 13 year old child. My child is top of their class, straight A student. All honors classes. Talented musician. Caring. Empathetic. Amazing in every way possible. Dr. Phil was wrong. Many scenes in this episode were purposefully edited and set up to form a narrative around the type of child I was and it was very exaggerated for views. I communicated often to the staff my discomfort in being on air and I was told I was a difficult child for not wanting my serious situation on air for millions to see. The whole “she wants to get a little house and live some fantasy” was based around nothing I said at all and any scenes that were positive in my favor were cut. Father is still in the picture and both of us are in our own happy relationships. I raised my child. I please implore you to teach your children and give them the tools to handle these situations. Shame doesn’t work. You can’t force adoption on everyone. &nbsp;I was extremely aware of how abusive the adoption system was and knew it was not the right choice for me and my child. Support and education!!!

  My daughter came home pregnant at 17, her boyfriend stepped up they have been married for 25 years now and are parents to 3 children. So proud of both of them!

  No one is ready to have a baby. Please.. give her the support she needs. She is a young lady with no experience.

  Usually ok with dr Phil, this episode seems as if he&apos;s already got a family lined up for the baby. <br>If she&apos;s keeping baby, then I feel best step is to help the teens succeed as parents.

  As a birthmother in 1976...for me it was ALL about the baby. I was mature enough to know I was not mature enough to keep him. He was adopted into an awesome home. We reunited in 1994.

  If the daughter does well and is able to successfully raise her child, &nbsp;her daughter will remember how her mother supported her forever. &nbsp;🖤🖤

  A good friend of mine had a baby at 16. Her story was drastically different. Once she found out she was pregnant she did everything she could to make sure she could support the child. She dropped out of school and got her GED got a full time job and saved every single penny she made to support herself and this baby. She was lucky enough to have two supportive parents she now has 3 kids and is one of the best moms I have ever met.

  I don&apos;t think any teen mom is ready for a baby. But luckily when I got pregnant at 17 my mother was super supportive of me and helped me learn how to be a mother and I can proudly say I think I&apos;m a dang good mother. I&apos;m 24 now and expecting my 2nd child now and I&apos;m forever greatfull for the love and support my mother gave me and helped shaped into the mother I am today. I couldn&apos;t imagine my life without my son now. It has definitely made my life harder. But he has been the best thing in my life as well. If teen moms decide to keep their baby they should be given the help and support to prepare them for mother hood

  I was a teen mom, I moved out of my mom’s house at 17, after I graduated from high school. He was born the following December. He is now 38. I have 2 other children by the same father. I planned to go to college right out of high school, that did not happen. But I did go back and become a nurse. I don’t think pushing the mom to give her baby up is the right thing to do. You may have one baby taken care of but your daughter will never be the same. I don’t know what’s right for her but I do know that she has not failed yet and the way Dr Phil is talking she has. Even grown women who have children need some kind of support from their mom. I pray they made the right decision!

  all this people talking about how hard it was DID NOT GIVE UP THEIR CHILD. I would not advocate for my daughter to give up her child EVER! I would be there to support her and push her if she wanted to contend with her own child.
