  Catching Mew in Pokemon Red and Blue absolutely should have been on the list. It was such a huge topic of discussion on the late 90's internet with myriad extremely convoluted fake methods of catching him, without attending an event or using a Game Genie, spread around by fans. Turns out there is a way to catch him that is almost as convoluted as those old rumors that involves triggering a glitch just outside of Cerulean City.

  Did you hear the urban legend that Jane has a basement laboratory? That's where she built Mike, who is a robot. Andy actually lives on a pirate ship. And Ellen is 4 raccoons in a human body suit.😂

  You could play master hand against your friends in Melee. There&apos;s a glitch that can allow you to move on from the character select screen without choosing a character. When the match loads, you&apos;ll be Master Hand! However, you can only control him if your controller is plugged in to Port 3, and he doesn&apos;t take knock back, so unless you&apos;re playing stamina mode, he&apos;s entirely unbeatable<br><br>The glitch is called the Name Entry Glitch, and it can crash the game so be careful with it

  The cow level in Diablo 2 came about due to an urban legend about a secret level in Diablo 1 that was supposedly accessed by clicking the cows in town in a specific sequence.

  I know the thing about Master Hand being Mario&apos;s hand was a joke, but I do think most people don&apos;t actually know whose hand it really is. Extrapolating from the intro cinematic in the original game, it&apos;s the hand of the child playing with their dolls, and the entire series is a much more violent rendition of Toy Story which culminates in an inevitable rebellion against humanity.

  &quot;You can actually unlock a gun in Sonic the Hedgehog&quot; rumor —though Sonic himself never got one, we did end up with Shadow the Hedgehog, which basically gave us that gritty, gun-toting vibe in the Sonic universe
