  Hi Everyone, I forgot to mention during the video that the strategy guide can be found for free online. I don’t know YouTube’s rules around posting links to Internet Archive, but that’s where I found it.<br><br>Also, the version of Warcraft II I’m playing is Remastered using original graphics.

  Man those old school strategy guides were amazing! I didnt even use them most of the time if I ever bought one, they made great bathroom books 😂

  That starting bit of the last alliance mission at around <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-uz0pB6KFR4&amp;t=1200">20:00</a> I feel a lot of the hard missions in old RTS games had an element of poking the ai with a stick to see what you&apos;re allowed to do without triggering it to go apeshit and wipe you minute 2

  I imagine the reason they don&apos;t include the magic users is because they have to be used in a specific way to be effective, in a way that&apos;s impossible to predict in a guide (since enemy unit movements will always vary), and by eliminating them, you eliminate human skill error and produce a guide that can consistently pass the missions.

  14 The Great Portal: White will spam dragons all the time, they will be able to spam about 120 dragons in total with the gold they can extract, so it is nearly impossible to beat such force with archers if you want to camp. They had to change it somehow. If you counter the dragons only by archers you probably soon run out of money. The death knights are pain in the a but they are only three, if killed they will not train new ones, however I could not find out what exactly triggers them to attack - definitely by trespassing the sign in north-east with a unit, but probably also by construction of a building in certain area (dunno where, they just appeared out of blue after half an hour gameplay when I already thought that they would stay passive forever). <br><br>Speedrun guys rush with gryphons and ignore all enemies, this works if you are quick enough, otherwise you fail very quickly. Taking over black golden mine can be tricky, my army was always spotted by white dragons who join the fight. <br><br>So what I did was that I waited until white was out of money (really long, can take about an hour at full speed), just repairing towers and be careful about last gold and lumber, but then, since black has no production, you can absolutely obliterate everything gaining access to a new mine with 70k gold, with new resources I gryphon-ed the portal and I did not even need shipyard.<br><br>Tried in battlenet edition from GOG and also in remaster and the scenario was the same. Hate this level.
