  I wasn’t confused, I thought it was heading in this direction since trench, because Blurryface states that He has two faces, and in trench I realized that the nine bishops represent the 9 different mind traps we all fall into, from Carl Jung’s path of the Shadow, lines like “habits here too, your the worst, your structure compensates.” I would argue with other fans who only cared about the story, and lore Implications. <br><br>It’s a relief to have it be fully expressed..<br><br>Nico is the subconscious thoughts that respond to the ego, the whispering in your head, and Clancy runs from it, not realizing that when you run from yourself, you are running too yourself..<br><br> &quot;Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will rule your life and you will call it Fate&quot;. -Carl Jung.<br><br>The torchbearer is the universal Unconscious, Nico is the Subconscious, and Clancy is the conscious mind trying his best to change…<br><br>And he did change, Tøp part of his head, glued..<br>Change is slow, careful, and integration is required, but subconscious is there every time you fall “asleep”<br><br>Changing your subconscious takes years, decades sometimes.. Clancy is in a cycle of ambition..<br><br>It’s like Josh said at the end, we will try again..<br><br>“ And I would swim the Paladin Strait, without any flotation, just a glimpse of visual aid(a subconscious interpretation)of you on the other shoreline. Waiting. Expectations. That I’m gonna make it.” <br><br>It’s been clear he is trying to break the cycle, but he cannot do it by running from it, or confronting it, your subconscious has to be integrated and through slight alterations, you can make it happen.<br><br>You can break free, but only after you understand what you are freeing, you can’t do it for someone else. &nbsp;But it can affect you less and less until it loses relevance, your memories become &nbsp;experiences you use to adapt. <br><br>You can’t run. <br>You can’t change what you’ve done, start fresh next semester. &nbsp;<br><br>Torchbearer says he is still out there, meaning the will to change won’t die, it’s part of who he is, but he can’t run from his problems.<br><br>Intentions is the right song, if you can focus the intention, you can strengthen your will and break free from your self.. it takes time..

  So much about city walls and so many feelings.. Tyler’s had me crying near all day as I’ve watched reactors break one after another.. full of hope at first then crushed after.. and I so get that.. but the part that keeps coming to mind to me of the whole video was him doing the |-/ to take out nico.. what I take is that it’s us, together, we can fight and beat those battles.. we are not alone. And yes hard times will come back around but we will try again |-/ ❤🌻

  Could not agree any more, amazing insight! When the opponent is yourself, the fight is what damages you. Note that Clancy did not lose in the end. Clancy won. And THAT caused the cycle to restart. We should not try to win. We should just try to be.

  Truce is and forever will be my #1 favorite song of theirs for multiple reasons, I love that it’s how they decided to end the story

  The ending can be frustrating the first time but once you understand the message that it is a cycle but that in each attempt you have the opportunity to improve, it is beautiful. It is very real to deal with the issue of depression in this way, that is to say, you do not have to wish to die in every bad moment, in every future bad moment we have the opportunity to face it in a better way.❤0

  A little off topic but your analysis has made it click for me that a game I like also very much takes inspiration from this cycle. <br><br>In Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon, the main antagonist is Dark Matter: an entity created by all of the negative emotions of Pokémon. You as the protagonist on your quest to defeat it discover that it&apos;s not your first time fighting Dark Matter. The first time, you destroyed it- then it returned. It&apos;s a cycle that has been occurring for a long time. Dark Matter is ultimately &apos;defeated&apos; when the partner Pokémon accepts it. <br><br>This is exactly how I expected the storyline to &apos;end&apos; and I&apos;m very glad it&apos;s wrapped up this way.

  I completely agree with this take. You do a great job explaining it concisely, too. In addition, I think Josh/Torchbearer holds a specific symbolism. I see him like a &quot;guiding light&quot;. Someone/something that is always there, (just like he says to the Bandito at the end) and helps you navigate your head. He sees the progress Clancy makes each time and doesn&apos;t give up on that. Similar to calling someone your &quot;rock&quot;. It can be applied to another person in your life, yourself, or just seen as the concept but in any case, guiding you.

  People that are upset wanted a Disney finale...which is not real life and what this group has been about all these years. Hope they get around to understand it by listening to people like you. Excellent analysis!
