  My mom made these in the late 1950’s. She didn’t drain the pineapple. They were my dad’s favorite cookie.

  Yes! &nbsp;I got this recipe from my Great-Grandmother when I was 11 yrs old. &nbsp;That was 1973.. How long she had been making them, I have no idea, lol!! &nbsp;She passed in 1980 at 97 yrs old..

  This is my grandmother&apos;s recipe. Do not drain the pineapple. Also, my grandmother always made homemade butterscotch fudge frosting to cover these babies. This takes them over the top of the moon. Fudge recipe: Cook 3/4 cup evaporated milk, 10 marshmallows, and 1 cup sugar. Add the hot mixture to the butterscotch chips, 1 teaspoon vanilla, and 1/2 cup butter, and mix with a hand mixer.

  My mom used to make these back in the 60s and 70s for my brothers and I. &nbsp;There was usually something when we got home from school and this one was my favorite. &nbsp;<br><br>I had her recipe card for years, and it disappeared after I had typed it on a computer. &nbsp;<br><br>The amounts differed some and there is no nuts. &nbsp;She had written ‘1 Cup crushed Pineapple with liquid.’ &nbsp;<br><br>I tried it that way a few times, but they went too flat. &nbsp;So in my version I listed it as drained pineapple. &nbsp;<br><br>I also changed the Crisco to Butter and will probably change it back. &nbsp;<br><br>It’s been about 30 years since I made it because as a diabetic the sugar and flour are not allowed. &nbsp;<br><br>But there is a flour blend out now made from primarily Bamboo Fiber that has no starch in it and I can replace the Sugar with Truvia. &nbsp;<br><br>So I hunted for this recipe and found it…. And I decided to search on youtube for this cookie and found your video. &nbsp;<br><br>When you said maybe it was from the 60s - maybe it was. &nbsp;Maybe a magazine had it and all of our mothers made it and tweaked it. &nbsp;<br><br>Anyway I enjoyed your video and rebellion against sifting - which I hate. &nbsp;Lol. &nbsp;<br><br>I’m going to give it a go as soon as I buy some pineapple.

  First time I ever had pineapple cookie was in the 1950&apos;s. My childhood friend&apos;s mom made them. My favorite cookie ever since. I plan on making them for Christmas this year.
