  I wish I could write a powerfully evocative song like this - it truly is a masterpiece! <br><br>The whole of this performance is stunning! I wish I could sing this song beautifully and powerfully. I also like it when parts of it are sung as a duet - especially with a man who has a gorgeous, deep gravelly voice. <br><br>I wish I was able to play all the musical instruments especially the &apos;cello, drums, piano and guitar (but not all at the same time of course! 😅).<br><br>Is it true that Alanis Morissette spent some time in India just before writing this song? The music is hauntingly beautiful and mysterious! I wonder if she was inspired by her time in India to write music like this or if she actually spent time with Indian musicians while she was there?

  This is her best song, hands down. It was from the sound track of the film &quot;City of Angels&quot; with Nick Cage and Meg Ryan.
