Honestly he should be nominated for a Darwin award. He Honestly thought that being a gang member and cop at the same time and no one would ever find out.

this guy wasn’t a crooked cop who turned to the gangs. He was a crooked gang member who turned to the police as his side job.

I remember when he died there were no police tributes for him, no black bands, no precision, nothing. Everyone was wondering what was up until it came out that he was a dirty cop

I grew up in the 90’s when gang life was glorified and romanticized by movies and music. I ended up getting involved in things I had no business doing coming from a financial secure environment. I lost friends and almost lost myself as well. I look back now at the stupidity of it all and how all these men destroyed their lives over a lack of imagining something better. I’m glad that kids now see it for what it is, a death sentence.

Almost unfathomable how a police officer wasn't subjected to further scrutiny after being seen displaying gang tattoos on himself.

How this isn’t a Netflix special or a movie is baffling. It has all the juicy elements of a great story.

Balcones Heights gave me a 500 dollar ticket for not wearing glasses. I don't even own glasses.

I have a personal connection to this story. I met this dude a few times as he was in a relationship with a family friend. The fact ANYONE was surprised that he was killed like this is shocking. He was as crooked as they come and didnt try to hide it. Balcones Heights was and is still just as corrupt as he was.

I've lived in San Antonio all my life and it's a very kind and welcoming city with plenty of opportunities for everyone. But the criminal underworld is very brutal here as well. A lot people you don't want to mess with. That's why I don't go around road-raging because you really don't know if you're honking at a cold-blooded killer.

i remember this guys police chief sticking up for him, going as far to call other officers on the force who complained about him "pretty boys" who didn't like his tattoos. I always thought the police chief should have been investigated for possible links to the gangs.
