I did a Google Translate and that is a VERY old tube of sunscreen.

from Gemeni (it's getting better..)

Original WWII German military-issue sunscreen tubes were known as Sonnenschutzcreme and were primarily provided to troops deployed in high-glare, intense-sun environments like North Africa (DAK), Southern Europe, and the Mediterranean.
Characteristics & Historical Details
Tube Design: These creams were issued in standard, roll-up aluminum or tin tubes, similar to period toothpaste or medical ointments.
Labeling: The tubes and original cardboard packaging featured distinct black, white, or red period-German typography reading Sonnenschutzcreme (Sun protection cream).
Military Application: Used to protect troops from severe sunburns, which could severely hinder combat readiness in desert and tropical climates.

real ones are pretty rare it appears...

All I know is that if I was a spy the last thing I would bring with me are items from my home country... What a way to blow your cover...

This ancient ruin is the most amazing one I’ve seen yet…and I’ve watched tons of videos like this. Your channel is one of the best since we lost Desert Drifter. Thank you so much!!!

That is the newer used Bundesadler, most likely from West Germany from the 60s to 90s. Different to the more skinny Reichsadler.

Seeing the food stash really peaks my interest as to where it was grown. It would indicate to me there was some source of good water nearby at some point. That's the kind of stuff I like to look for at these kind of sights.

German here.
The sunscreen is from the Bundeswehr.
(the German army)
Manufacturer: Bundeswehr Medical Office, circa 1998.
Initially in aluminum, later in a plastic tube.
Recognizable by the newer eagle symbol.
It was officially confirmed as the state coat of arms on January 20, 1952.

Apparently a defensive position, these people were at war with some other tribe. With water, storage and food, people could survive in such conditions for a very long time. Interesting that even though technology has advanced to a great degree, human nature itself is still in the stone age.
