  Passenger pigeons used to fly over the skies for hours. People saw them as a pest and so they would hunt and kill them until they were all gone. The last recorded passenger pigeon was named Martha and she’s in a museum now.

  The Dodo bird went extinct due to predators being introduced onto the island they lived on. Spanish explorers did eat some of them, but apparently they tasted god awful, but the ship carried dogs, pigs, and rats on it. Which when released on the island while canvassing the land, preyed upon the Dodos and their eggs.<br><br>And the most abundant bird in the world that Matt mentioned was the Passenger Pigeon.
