When welding rims (or any metal exposed to dynamic loads), the welds should be intermittent. The reason for this is that if one weld point breaks, the other remains intact; if done otherwise, a crack starting at one point will break the entire weld.

In the beginning i was starting to worry about all the safety problems in the video, then i saw the mechanics safety sandals and knew from there that everything would be just fine!
