  Let&apos;s be clear, Harry Potter was a Slytherin, he was sorted into Gryffindor because he literally begged the Hat not to put him in Slytherin. He was afraid of the house because he was influenced by Ron and Hagrid against the house. But let&apos;s be honest, he belonged to Slytherin. He was cunning and ambitious all along, (it&apos;s just that living with the Dursley&apos;s he never got the chance to aspire), he was always willing to break the rules to achieve his ends no matter the cost, (remember sectumsempra?) That was completely him, not the horrocrux inside him. In the end it was a good twist of fate for Harry to be friends with Ron and Hermione, he learned strong values ​​from them that he might never have learned from other Slytherins, but that doesn&apos;t change the fact that Harry had the full potential to be a true Slytherin.

  Imagine older slytherins comforting young 11 years olds that they&apos;re not evil and they are just as nice as every other house. And telling them they will be teased and boo&apos;ed at but will always have a safe space in the common room.

  I honestly hated how they made gryffindor the best out of all the other houses. Honestly I would’ve love to see more of the houses.

  Explanation for why a bunch of Slytherins were death eaters, go: ok. Imagine this. You’re a pure blood. You were so very exited to go to Hogwarts. You get there and make a few friends on the train ride. You sit on the stool and hold your breath as the sorting hat is placed on your head. “Slytherin!” It calls. You are greeted, not with cheers, but with three tables yelling “boo!” At you. The only house happy for you is Slytherin. You’re 11. You’re impressionable. And the first thing that happens when you get to Hogwarts is you get booed to your table. Over something you can’t control. You go through Hogwarts being outcasted in everything you do because of what you value and who you are. Suddenly, you are promised power. You are promised a life where you can get back on all those who resented you for little to no reason. You can finally have a family. And all your family and friends are saying “Oh yeah, it’s great”. When your promised power, revenge, and a family after being an outcast for so many years, being a Death Eater doesn’t sound so bad, does it? Except you realize it’s horrible and can’t get out. You’re stuck forever.

  There&apos;s a very fine line between self preservation and selfish. <br><br>Between having questionable morals and having none at all.<br><br>Between being shrewd and being bigoted.<br><br>Between being cunning and being deceiving. <br><br>Between being ambitious and being ruthless. <br><br>Between being inclined to be on the winning side and blind allegiance. <br><br>There&apos;s a very fine line between the stereotype and the person. <br><br>I think it&apos;s important to understand the difference small as it may be. Walking that thin line between the two and playing both sides is what we Slytherin do best afterall.
