To see Sorkin get choked up at the memory of John Spencer, fourteen years after his death.  Got me a bit verklempt myself.

I miss my boys, was a tough scene.  And giving the homeless veteran a proper funeral touched my heart.

Aaron Sorkin has my eternal gratitude for proving, with The West Wing, beyond any shadow of any doubt,  that  Americans will watch and even cherish intelligent television.

The ending of Excelsis Deo is one of the most emotional scenes on the show with the background of a funeral at Christmas time, The scene at Arlington was made with the full co-operation of the United States Department of Defense, who liked the message of the script and wanted to do what they could to help.they provided a full Marine Honor Guard and Navy Chaplain and The fourth person attending the funeral is the superintendent of Arlington National Cemetery John C. Metzler Jr., appearing as himself

Seeing him sidelined by even the <i>mention</i> of John Spencer is quite difficult to watch. Clearly the man meant a lot to him

My favorite holiday episode? Shibboleth. Bartlett gifting Charlie his knife. I still get tear eyed... I&apos;m not crying. You&apos;re crying...

THE LITTLE DRUMMER BOY playing over the Arlington funeral scene and choir singing for the staff in IN EXELSIS DEO, will always be my favorite moment.

This guy’s walking down the street when he falls in a hole. &nbsp; &nbsp; Best scene by Sorkin. &nbsp;Best delivery by Jon Spencer. &nbsp; Makes me believe in people again……..

Loved the Butterball hotline episode. &nbsp; My fav thing is Bartlett had a staffer who could give him the zip code of a random city at the drop of a hat.

Let Bartlet be Bartlet. You can&apos;t get much more Bartlet than the Butterball Hotline! 💕 Watching this episode right now and it never gets old! To be fair, none of them ever get old!
