Kudos to the great musicians of the Dire Straits anthology. Especially my man Chris made songs like "Private Investigations" and "Romeo and Juliet" frigging epic. Cheers for that, mate!

Thank you for what you do, Chris. Will be seeing you tonight in Melbourne. It will be the fourth time I’ve seen you and your incredible band. You take me back to happier times. Sometimes I close my eyes at your show, for a few seconds and I could swear I was back in 1986, seeing you in Melbourne all those years ago. Terence is an astonishing musician yet his own superb artist. I know it will be another incredible night👌.

Absolutely love this band. Was too young to see Dire Straits live at the time, but it's such a privilege to see The Dire Straits Experience. Can't wait until August when they're in Melbourne again. Top act!

I saw Chris live with Dire Straits in Melbourne in 1986 and 1991 (about 20 times total) and in San Diego/LA in 1992. He (on flute and sax) and the band were exceptional of course. However, at one of the shows in Feb 1986 at Olympic Park in Melbourne, Chris wasn’t there and his parts were filled by Guy and Alan on keyboards. Apparently he had had a little injury surfing, slitting his lip, and had to miss that show. I wonder if he recalls that!

Chris is a great guy, lovely bloke and well regarded in the industry !unlike a certain pianist who he worked with in a certain band wh is running a competing outfit)

Saw Chris play with Dire Straits in 1992 and with Clanad around that time too. Just found this video now. Wonder if he has already toured Australia, I'll go see him in Brizzy if he is still on the way. Oh, just looked up, sold out 😞

Chris is a truly great guy and an absolutely outstanding player, who deserves all the success he has had and is still enjoying with the Dire Straits Experience. Long may it continue.
