  One thing I notice in Birmingham is that the terrace houses generally look nicer than my home city of Manchester.

  The reason there were no leaves in the first area is there were no trees. Leaves generally don't get swept up.

  I worked in the Blockbuster at the end of the high street for 2 years (now the Borsch store on the left)…deffo got some stories to tell from those night shifts.

  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-KTEm-RPTKQ&amp;t=122">2:02</a> UK Mini Market &nbsp;used to be a Tandy Electronics shop back in the late &apos;80s/early 90&apos;s and I used to work there part time when studying. <br><br> I used to work Saturdays and having been on the pop the previous night, I used to walk past whoever was working on the sales desk, drop my bat and go back up to the top of the shop leaving the eggy aroma behind the poor unfortunate on the desk. Happy days! &nbsp; <br><br>I absolutely loved the people of Erdington - really friendly. It was part of the reason why we bought our first home in Erdington.<br><br>The church had a massive fire a long time ago and instead of rebuilding it as it should have been done, they built that architectural monstrosity which has been hated ever since.

  Our public baths are massive swimming pools. Usually with diving boards 😊

  I was brought up in Erdington &quot; I&apos;d never move back there it become a right dive .

  Central Square is in the process of demolition. There used to be a square with all shops around it, and a car park up on top. We have a pretty high turnover of shops in the high street. 3 betting shops, way more greengrocers than the local population needs, 2 or 3 chicken shops, multiple fast food places. At night it&apos;s kinda deserted really - there used to be a lot more pubs and restaurants but we&apos;re down to a few fast food places that you can order from on Just Eat and Deliveroo, and 2 pubs - the Wetherspoons &quot;Charlie Hall&quot;, and the Swan. There&apos;s been a recent crackdown on crime, which is why you don&apos;t see the dealers in their usual spot near Iceland, nor the homeless using the alleys as a toilet.

  2009 I think? The church was burnt out. It was rebuilt. My parents were married there.
