  Work with a man who had to watch Pol pots people kill his sister and mother. &nbsp;He basically said it was a line to get killed. His mother was a doctor I believe and his sister was a teacher. Luckily granted asylum in the US. One of the best guys I know.

  My neighbor fled the country during the war. All but 2 of her 11 children died (some from starvation). She lived with her son, daughter in law, and two grandchildren (who were my age). She didn&apos;t speak much English, so my friend explained what happened. It was horrific.

  My friend Zakaria fled to Malaysia by walking. After the war finish he went back to Cambodia and died there...

  Been over to Cambodia twice, personally I think the Khmer people are some of the nicest people on Earth.

  Please don’t call our country unlucky…we are lucky we had the people who survived and are rebuilding the community today! They persevered through war to live and extend our culture!

  I recently visited Cambodia. I’d always wanted to visit Angkor Wat and the chance presented itself so I took it. I was a little sceptical about Cambodia as I wasn’t sure what to expect. <br><br>What I found blew me away. Siem Reap is possibly my favourite city in the whole world. The people the architecture the culture. Just an absolutely amazing part of the world.

  Its okay to say that Cambodia is unlucky at the time...but just know that my people in Cambodia are very humble and grateful for what we have ... God bless🙏❤🙌😊❤
