This isn't just relaxing in an asmr sense, but in the fact that so many (western) hair stylists just do no operate like this. the consultation and actually listening to a client, then focusing on the haircut instead of asking the inane questions that so many of us are fed up with.

My favorite part in this video is seeing how the stylist was able to make the lady feel more and more at ease during the haircut because she was visibly nervous and shy at first.
