  NGL, the Distortus Rex was pretty smart to break the trapdoors, which eventually rendered the trap useless.

  The trap was doomed from the start unfortunately. Even if it didn&apos;t just nuke the trapdoors, it would have always just pathed around it. Mobs do see trapdoors as blocks yes, but with them just around the circumfrence it&apos;s not going to do much. In the eyes of the AI, the trapdoors changed it from a pit to a slightly smaller pit! And since there was absolutely nothing whatsoever stopping the thing from simply walking around said pit, that&apos;s exactly what it did. It pathed around the pit straight to you. If you were standing in the middle of the pit, that&apos;d be a different story. That&apos;s why the zombie fell in but not the rex. It had no valid path to you, so decided to hop into the hole instead.
