  “There is nothing more frightening, nothing more intimidating, nothing more repulsive than a drunk covert narcissist.” I get chills hearing that. I’ve known more than one of them and it’s so true. But hearing Sam Vaknin say that? It makes it all the more real. And scary.

  The alcohol brings out what’s really in there. They let themselves go but they know exactly what they are doing.

  My ex got drunk one night and literally snarled at me. Bared teeth and grunting. He tackled me to the floor then squatted over me like smeagol from lord of the rings still snarling. It was the most terrifying thing I’ve ever seen in my life and the image still haunts me today.

  My daily horror in 16 years of relationship. You never knew which person came home after work. Drunk and unpredictable or sober and just in a bad mood. I never received an apology.

  My ex was a disaster when she got drunk. Always getting us kicked out of bars. And she was textbook covert narcissist. She also would make the craziest facial expressions when she was drunk. Like she was showing everything that what was going inside her demented mind on her face. It was bizarre. She would also hit on other men in front of me and then try and pawn it off as she was just talking.

  This video is so valid. I can't believe im watching a scholarly explanation for what i saw when the covert got drunk. The covert becomes overt and the behaviour is bizarre at best and vile and evil.
