POLL: Is Android or iPhone better for privacy?

Turning off all these settings is a good idea, but I don’t for one second believe it’s not listening all the time. Remember, it’s looking for Siri so the mic is always on, and even when Siri is turned off I get heaps of ads targeted to things mentioned in conversations near my phone. I love the way you’ve made this video and have followed your suggestions so as to minimise the threat, but I don’t have any illusions that the big tech companies will stop doing all they can (with or without my permission or even knowledge) to farm and sell my data. Peace.

Never assume that flipping a soft switch can keep your microphone, camera, location, and any other information they want from being monitored by the parent company, manufacturer, or government.

The last time we had privacy on our cell phones. When we could take out the battery.

Double checked my settings and these were all turned off already. The iPhone is still absolutely listening though. I attended a training course a few days ago where Adiabatic compression was mentioned briefly. It was brought up as a comparison and does not relate to my profession in the slightest. The following day I had videos about Adiabatic compression on my YouTube feed. That feels a little bit more than a coincidence.

Cannot tell you how many times I have had an obscure conversation about any given subject and the next thing I know is something concerning it comes up in some sort of feed on my devices. My husband and I have purposefully brought up things just to see what would transpire. And sure enough said subject would show up sooner than later.

Thank you, as an aging 66 year old who used to be very tech savvy this was very useful. It’s surprising once out of the game at work you feel that your not keeping up to date like you once was. I’ve done mine and my 75 year old husband’s phone. Again thank you. ☺️

Thank you for taking the time to do the video at a normal speed where people have the time to see where you are jumping to in the menus.
