Indie folk for slow mornings, long drives and quiet work. Fingerpicked acoustic guitar, pedal steel and banjo, recorded warm and unhurried — songs about high meadows, fallow fields, first thaws and everything else that grows on its own schedule. Slowlark is a one-person indie folk project out of the West Coast. The songs are mostly about land and weather: an orchard that won't ripen early, a field left to rest a year, snow that comes off the ridge when it's ready and not before. A voice with more feeling in it than technique. Nothing here is in a hurry. New music every week — a single with lyrics, and a long album to keep the whole morning company. Thank you for spending your slow hours here.
