My journey with honey bees began 40 years ago. Beekeeping has been a part of my family for a long time. I am the 4th generation in my family to keep bees. My grandfather had bees in Europe and so did his father, my great grandfather. I got my first hives when I was only 13 years old. My primary focus is breeding queen bees in the Black Hills of western South Dakota. I am a certified Master Beekeeper (University of Montana program), and yet I continue to learn new things every year. It is wonderful to see so many people interested in bees and in becoming beekeepers. I enjoy teaching and over the years I have had the privilege of mentoring many new beekeepers. I created this channel so that I could upload videos relating to honey bees and beekeeping in general. I hope you will find something of interest. Thank you for watching and subscribing!
