Epic Nature LLC is filmed in Amherst, WI at a family run sustainable and regenerative farm operated by owners Ryan and DeAnn Kolodziej. Ryan and DeAnn grew up on farms and Ryan has worked in and around agriculture his whole life. DeAnn has gardened on the same Wisconsin soil for almost 40 years. The Kolodziej/Kaszubski family takes land ownership and stewardship very seriously as the well water in wisconsin has become tainted by fertilizers. The farm keeps a couple of rare breeds of swine including Red Wattle, Meishan and Mulefoot. We believe the preservation of rare breeds of livestock is as important to the future of low input agriculture as adapting soil heath management practices. Regenerative land management is at the center of our mission to create permaculture gardens and sustainable agricultural ecosystems.
