During the 1970s and 80s, books on tape (cassette) were in their heyday. This channel contains digitalized books on tape which are rare and no longer published or streaming on subscription sites.* However, the stories and reading performances are too good to be lost forever. Most of the books on cassette tape released back then were abridged i.e. movie length*. Yet, they keep the spirit of the story intact. Click on Videos to see all the books on tape. Not sure if you want to listen to a particular audiobook, just give it a 10 minute listen to decide. Enjoy! Note: These tapes are 35 to 50 years old and fortunately with Audacity I can clean up the sound pretty well though please forgive any shortcomings in sound quality. Also, you may need to adjust your device's equalizer if music is too loud. If unabridged or other books on tape don't appear on this channel it's usually due to them being on paid streaming sites. More audiobooks can be found on Internet Archive.
