I'm Alex Chavez, founder of CabCommand. I run a trucking company, J.C Trading, and I make videos about what it actually costs to run one. This channel is for owner-operators, fleet owners, and anyone working toward being their own boss. Cost per mile. Deadhead and detention. Which loads are worth booking, and which ones just keep you busy. The insurance brokers actually require versus the federal minimum. Every number I put on screen comes off my own books — including the ones that make my company look bad. There's a lot of bad rep on truckers and a lot of misinformation out there, and most of it costs somebody money. It's not about staying busy. It's about staying profitable. My goal is simple: that you know your numbers, and you feel sure about the decisions you're making. This work is learnable, and you're capable of it.
