Private conflicts. Public history. Every official story was written by somebody, and somebody had a reason. This channel goes after the version that did not make it into the record: the affair that was managed, the letter that was burned, the reputation that was bought, the person quietly removed from the photograph. Presidents and first ladies, royal households and courts, and the people who stood closest to power on both sides of the Atlantic. Some episodes are built on a document: a court file, a diary, a telegram, a passenger manifest, a memoir written to settle a score. Others are about a relationship, a feud, a disappearance, or a death the official account never quite explained. And some are about the story everyone already knows, and what it gets wrong. The rule is the same every time. Sourced claims are stated as sourced. Contested claims are stated as contested. Where something is rumour, I say it is rumour instead of dressing it up as fact.
