I'm Randy Vogel. I'm 57, I smoke meat in an unheated garage in Wisconsin, and this channel isn't really about barbecue. It's about what barbecue costs you. Cheap cuts, cheap pits, and gear priced at what people will pay rather than what it's worth. I buy the rack nobody reaches for, cook it properly, and put it in front of people who've never once been able to tell me which one they were eating. You'll get the mistakes too. The fourteen pounds of ribs I ruined the night before. The four steaks I turned to shoe leather in front of company. Nobody wrecks a cook by getting the fire badly wrong, they wreck it by doing two sensible things at the same time. No sponsor telling me which $1,200 smoker to love.
