Antastic Tom – My Journey into Ant Keeping Welcome to Antastic Tom — the channel where I dive head-first (occasionally face-first) into the weird and wonderful world of ant keeping 🐜✨ I started my journey with Lasius niger, Lasius flavus, and Messor barbarus, and now I’m sharing everything I learn — the wins, the mistakes, and all the tiny dramas happening inside a test tube. If you’re new to the hobby or just ant-curious, you’re in the perfect place. Here we explore: • How to start your first colony • Feeding, hydration, and UK hibernation tips • Test tube setups, formicariums, and beginner gear • Real-time colony updates and lessons learned (the easy way… and the hard way!) • Myth-busting, beginner mistakes, and simple guides My goal is simple: make ant keeping easy, fun, and beginner-friendly — with a bit of humour along the way. Grab your magnifying glass and join me on this Antastic adventure. Subscribe and let’s grow our colonies together!
