Awenreach is an imagined Celtic land: windswept highlands, an old forest, a still lake, a working village, a border monastery, and open sanctuary stones. Every video is three hours of original Celtic and medieval fantasy music written for one place in that land, set to a single painted scene. Low whistle on the high roads, harp and wooden flute in the woods, fiddle and bodhran in the village, long quiet drones inside the abbey walls. Nothing begins with a sudden sound; every piece fades in. Made to be left playing - reading, writing, study, sleep, tabletop games, and long quiet evenings. New journeys every Tuesday and Friday, and one for each turning of the old year: the equinox, Samhain, Yule, Christmas, and Imbolc. Follow the waymark. The road runs on.
