We raised Donald Campbell’s Bluebird K7 from the bottom of Coniston Water, rebuilt her, and ran her again. That began with one extraordinary machine. Now the Bluebird Project investigates remarkable true stories from engineering, aviation, science and history — particularly the ones where the accepted story isn't quite the whole story. Air accidents, forgotten engineering, wartime technology, historic machines and the discoveries that sometimes changed the world. We work from official records, original archive material and first-hand evidence to find out what actually happened — and why.
