Negarit was established to promote liberal thinking and create awareness about the rights and obligations of citizens. Its content is varied focusing on education, and promoting enlightened, rational thinking. Its core messages is to pave the way for social and political reconciliation through knowledge-based dialogue. Negarit is an affiliate of awate.com (established in 2000 to pursue the same goals). Both promote peace justice and freedom for the Horn of Africa.
