Sam Alvarado Explains

Every night you lie down on a mattress, close a door, set an alarm, and never think about any of it. For most of human history, none of those things existed. This channel is about how people lived the problems you still have today, without any of the tools you use to solve them. How the Aztecs slept in a city built on a lake. What they did when the rain didn't come. How a city with no soap stayed cleaner than Europe. I'm Sam. I read the original sources, many written in Spanish and never translated, from the chroniclers who were there: Sahagún, Durán, Cortés, Bernal Díaz, and the codices the Aztecs painted themselves. Every claim comes from one of them, and I tell you which. The images mix AI-generated illustration with real historical material: codices, maps and objects in the public domain. When something is a reconstruction, I say so. One long video every few days. No lists, no clickbait. Just the night, the cold, the water, the hunger, and how they got through it.
