I'm Babcia Zofia. I grew up in Kraków when the shelves were empty and the lines were long. My mother fed six of us through those winters on cabbage, potatoes, a little flour and a lot of know-how. In 1989 I came to Chicago, and I have been cooking the same way ever since. On this channel I share the Polish kitchen the way my mother taught me: cabbage rolls, pierogi, soups that cost a few dollars and feed a whole family, bread that never goes to waste, and a cellar full of food before the first snow.
