Welcome! My name is Derek Van Hook. I studied mechanical engineering and digital media, but when I started looking at jobs in that industry, I realized I couldn’t leave South Florida to work for a big engineering firm. With clear water diving, backcountry fishing in the Everglades, secluded trips to the Dry Tortugas, and remote spearfishing in the Bahamas, this place has opportunities I just couldn’t find anywhere else. Today, I run a digital media company and do everything I can to spend as much time on the water as possible.
