I'm Lupita, and I cook in a small kitchen in San Antonio, Texas. For thirty-eight years I cooked for six people every night, and for twenty of those years I also ran the funeral lunches at my parish, a hundred and fifty plates by one o'clock. Three years ago my table went down to one plate. Nobody teaches you how to cook for one. Every recipe feeds six, the leftovers go bad in the fridge, and some nights you're just too tired. So this channel is what I learned: easy dinners sized for one person, one pan and a few ingredients, the real oven temperature and time, what each plate costs, and what to do with the second portion so nothing goes to waste. One plate is still worth setting the table for.
