My name is Stefan and as a bonsai novice I enjoy growing various tree species and learning their growth habits as I attempt to transform them into bonsai trees. I prefer working with succulent and drought tolerant species but I equally enjoy growing other tropical and non-tropical species. As the channel name suggests, some of the species featured here, as well as my approach to bonsai, may not fit the traditional approach to bonsai. I will be covering the evolution of odd bonsai as well as more usual tree species while also tackling other bonsai related topics such as home-made bonsai tools and pots.
