I spent thirty five years inspecting dams and bridges in the United States. More than four thousand inspections. Now that I am retired, I can finally read out loud the reports nobody read when it counted. One American dam, bridge or levee at a time, straight from the actual inspection record. What the engineers wrote. The date they wrote it. And what was done about it, or what was not. No predictions. No panic. Just the finding, in plain language, and what it meant for the people living downstream. Sources are listed under every video: the National Inventory of Dams, state and federal inspection reports, NTSB and independent forensic reports, the ASCE Infrastructure Report Card and the FHWA bridge inventory. Stay dry. Stay curious.
