Ancient Faith & Modern Questions (AFMQ)

This channel is for people who are Orthodox, exploring Orthodoxy, returning to Christianity, or simply curious about an ancient faith they may never have seriously encountered. We explore the questions people are asking today about faith, Christianity, worship, purpose, suffering, prayer, the Church, and what it means to follow Christ in the modern world, through the wisdom and lived experience of the Orthodox Christian faith. You'll find personal stories, conversations with Orthodox priests and teachers, practical resources, and an honest look at discovering Orthodoxy. I'm Luke Jansen. I spent nearly 20 years as an ordained Protestant minister. Today I'm an Orthodox catechumen, hoping to be received into the Church this year. I'm not a priest or theologian. When it comes to theology, I point toward the Church and those entrusted to teach it. Ancient Faith. Modern Questions. Stop Proving. Start Becoming. ☦️
