I’m a Stonerphile. I guess I always have been. For the past 4 years, I've been reviewing Stoner/Doom and Heavy Psych for The Doom Charts and this channel. Most people think stoner rock and sludge are just low-fi fuzz and filth. I hear things differently, and I want to share the experience of hearing how well the Heavy Underground is recorded, how to find the best headphones for the style you listen to, and help you build a "Stonerphile" library for your best pair of cans. I focus on physics, source quality, and psychoacoustics—not "snake oil" or marketing myths. If the gear can't handle the dynamics and range of the heaviest riffs, I'll tell you why.
