The Machine-Made Muse uses generative AI as a filmmaking tool to create new stories, lost scenes, alternate castings and “what if?” versions of film and television. Right now, the channel has a particular focus on fan-made Star Trek: The Next Generation stories, while also exploring where AI filmmaking can take other movies, television shows and genres. The videos are built shot by shot using tools such as MiniMax H3 and ComfyUI, then edited, scored and polished much like a conventional production. The goal is not simply to demonstrate AI technology. I want to use it to tell stories people actually want to watch, including stories that could never realistically have been made before. Have an idea for a story, lost scene, alternate casting or “what if?” you’d like to see? Leave a suggestion in the comments. Subscribe to see where this goes next.
