I'm Steve, a lifelong history enthusiast and former Royal Air Force serviceman with a passion for military history. On The Northern Historian, I bring to life the remarkable stories of the 20th century — from the world wars to the Cold War. You'll find episodes exploring battleships, aircraft carriers, iconic aircraft, and the personal accounts of the brave men and women who served. Some stories will be well known, others will be forgotten gems — all are told with a commitment to historical respect and accuracy. Where possible, I use authentic imagery and footage, and when not available, suitable visuals are used for illustration. This channel is dedicated to preserving history, honouring those who lived it, and sharing it with a community who believes these stories deserve to be remembered. If that sounds like you — subscribe and be part of our growing history community.
